Frederick 用家分享 - Testimonial

Updated: Jan 6, 2019

Hi,

My name is SGT Frederick, Nancy and I am in the United States Army. I just want to write about my testimony with the teeter hang up.

In January 2012, I was involved in a car accident where I was rear ended and my car was sandwiched between the car that rear ended me and the one that it pushed me behind. My first reaction was to get out and help the elderly man that hit me from the back. I had so much adrenaline going through my body that I never once worried about myself. It was the cop on the scene that had to talk to me and tell me to have a sit in his car and call my parents. When I arrived at my house, I collapsed for my body was now calm. I was rushed to the hospital, where I was given medication for muscle spasms in my back. I didn’t think anything of it, until I was driving from South Carolina to Fort Campbell, KY which was to be me new duty station. I was uncomfortable for the entire duration of the ride and just attributed it to just a long drive. I arrived at Fort Campbell and immediately sought medical attention as advised by the doctor who looked at me before I left.

During this stage of the military, draw back of the troops was now setting in, and if you sustained an injury that prohibited you from fulfilling your military requirements, you would be brought before the medical evaluation board to be processed out. I was given a choice, either I heal on my own time or get kicked out. I decided to heal on my own.

I decided to heal on my own from 2012 to 2014. I cried almost every night due to the pain in my back. I was always nervous and couldn’t explain why. I deployed to the Middle East wearing my gear that weighed over 45lbs and more when I carried my bags. I am 5’10 and 1/2 and 137 pounds. I was in constant pain. I just kept it to myself and the ones close to me. I knew that I couldn’t go back to what we call “sick call” because they would start my process to get out.

For two years I was in pain. One day it got so bad that i cried to my God-father over the phone and said that I couldn’t take it anymore. I told him the pain wakes me up at night, and I don’t know which way to turn. I tried heating pads, bengay, tiger balm, the jacuzzi, soaking in epsom salt, different stretches and nothing worked at all.

He was frantic and started looking around, and came up with the teeter hang up. Already on the brink of pain, I didn’t have any motivation at all, especially to spend $300.00 on something that I had no trust in to help me with my pain. That night I set it up with no motivation. For I was about to use it and send it right back. That night, I reluctantly hung upside down and was sulking for I felt nothing.

On the third day, I realized that could sit it certain positions that I couldn’t in almost two years. Also I wasn’t nervous anymore. I called my God-father whose name is Bishop Stafford Fisher and immediately started crying. I told him it worked! He started to laugh and said that he knew it would have because of the various testimonies that he had seen. We also came to a conclusive reasoning for my nervousness. I may have had a pinched nerve all that time.

To Mr. Roger Teeter, I say thank you for your device.

I say thank you for making my life in the military easier mentally and physically.

I say thank you, for now I can lead the future Soldiers of the United States in even more confidence…. I salute you!
